I turned on the TV the other day and was assaulted by the usual show’s this time of year. Show’s like the “Books of the Bible Christians don’t want you to know about!” and ” The Life and Times of Jesus weren’t what you thought.” I thought to myself “WOW! Every Christian holiday this garbage starts.
It’s true you know. Pay attention as Easter draws near and you will start to see them showing up. It’s been like this since the birth of Jesus. In those days however it was Herod who tried to kill the message of Christ before it even really began. Even now the spirit of Herod exists in this world. I’m amazed though they never attack Islam with shows like that, nor do they ever attack Buddha. Why not?
Well ever since the fall, mankind has been trying to remove the God of the Bible from their lives. So just as Herod tried to remove the Messiah from his world we try to remove Him from ours. He did it by murder we do it by attacking Jesus’ claims. The reality is just like Herod failed so will we.
Jesus Christ is Lord! The quicker we get this the better off we will be. So I leave you with the words of the Angels who proclaimed His birth to the Shepherds in the fields outside of Bethlehem.
“I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”
Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
